The Missouri Senate could consider today whether to let parents use tuition tax credits to help offset costs for their children to attend private or parochial schools.

Brent Gahn with the Missouri School Boards Association calls the proposed credits “vouchers in disguise” that would cost the state up to 25-million dollars annually.

Supporters of the vouchers say the credits give parents additional choice in their children’s education.
