7-year-old Kingston, Missouri boy life-flighted after ATV accident

A Kingston boy received what the highway patrol called serious injuries when the ATV he was operating hit a tree northeast of Clarksdale in Dekalb County.

Seven year old Anthony Barnett of Kingston was flown by medical helicopter to Children’s Mercy Hospital at Kansas City.

The accident happened Saturday evening in a private field three miles northeast of Clarksdale.

Anthony Barnett was driving across the field when the ATV hit a tree, extensively damaging the machine.

The boy was not wearing safety equipment.
