3 Chillicothe residents involved in accident on Highway 190

Three Chillicothe residents were involved when two pickup trucks collided late Sunday afternoon two miles west of Chillicothe on Highway 190.

One occupant, 40-year-old Tomie Walker of Chillicothe, was listed with minor injuries and transported to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.

The state patrol reports an eastbound pickup was driven by 41-year-old Larry Walker and a southbound pickup was operated by 16-year-old Tanner Wilkison. Neither driver was injured according to the accident report.

Authorities said the pickup was driven by the teenager allegedly failed to yield and pulled from county road 233; into the path of the Walker pickup. After impact, Wilkison’s pickup came to a stop partially blocking the eastbound lane of 190. Walker’s truck traveled off the right side of the highway and struck a stop sign, and it came to a stop in the ditch.

Damages ranged from minor to moderate for the trucks.  All persons were using safety equipment.
