2 Trenton, 1 Leisure Lake resident busted on drug charges

A 44-year-old Trenton resident, Rhonda Howard, has been charged in Grundy County with possession of the controlled substance methamphetamine with intent to distribute, deliver, or sell it, and possession of the controlled substances Carisoprodol and Oxycontin.

The count accusing Ms. Howard with possession of methamphetamine called her a prior and persistent drug offender. She pleaded guilty, was found guilty, or was convicted of possession of a controlled substance in Livingston county in 1999 and in Grundy County in 2006.

Rhonda Howard was being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on $75,000 cash only bond and is to appear November 8 in Associate Division of Grundy County circuit court.

19-year-old Kelsey Howard of Trenton has been charged in Grundy County with possessing the controlled substances Methamphetamine, Carisoprodol, and Oxycontin. Howard was being held in the Grundy County detention center on $45,000 cash only bond and is to appear November 8 in Associate Division of Grundy County circuit court.

17-year-old Taya Sternquist of Leisure Lake has been charged in Grundy County with possession of the controlled substances Methamphetamine, Carisoprodol, and Oxycontin as well as first-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Concerning the endangering charge, Ms. Sternquist is accused of creating a substantial risk to her two-year-old child by having methamphetamine and numerous paraphernalia items, including razor blades in her vehicle when it was stopped at a traffic stop during the early morning hours.

Ms. Sternquist was being held in the Grundy County detention center on $50,000 cash only bond and is to appear in Associate Division of Grundy County circuit court on November 8.
